  • What made him different from other directors

Hitchcock was different because  he invented modern horror and suspense. He was the master of the overhead shot to signal menace, isolation or omniscience. His stylistic trademarks include the use of camera movement that mimics a person’s gaze, forcing viewers to engage in a form of voyeurism.
